Imagine Solutions is looking for an Alarm System Field Technician that will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, design, and maintenance of security alarm, fire alarm, access control, and surveillance systems. The Alarm System Field Technician is responsible for installing and servicing the systems in the most efficient and effective manner to assure minimum down time and maximum performance. All installations and service must meet the highest quality standards set forth by Imagine Solutions, while assuring a professional and safe working environment.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

  • Responds to customer's service related issues promptly
  • Trains and instructs the customer on the proper use of the equipment
  • Responsible for reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
  • Assists with preventive maintenance of customer equipment
  • Responsible for accurate tracking on time sheets, service/installation tickets
  • Research and obtain information on position specific training opportunities
  • Act in a capacity to lead, train, and develop less experienced technicians.
  • Ability to be available for after-hours work when needed.
  • Other duties as required or assigned by company management.

Qualifications

  • One or more years as a technician in the Electronic Security, Fire Alarm, and Communications Field
  • Must have knowledge of wire pulling techniques in a retro and new construction environment.
  • Must have experience programming and setting up alarms and video surveillance systems.
  • Complete and proficient knowledge of networks and PC skills is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well-organized.
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date.
  • Valid and current driver’s license.
